This series is intended for anyone interested in understanding Buddhist approaches to a happier life, the fundamentals of Buddhist philosophy and psychology, as well as learning several meditation techniques.

Each day includes two sessions with a morning tea break in between. There is an opportunity for questions, allowing for clarification of any of the topics. Wear loose comfortable clothing, for sitting in chairs or, if you prefer, cushions on the floor.
These Introduction to Buddhism courses are taught by senior Tibetan Buddhist Society students, all of whom have been practising Buddhism for many years.
The course will be based on Geshe Acharya Thubten Loden’s, Essence of the Path to Enlightenment. This book is available for purchase for $50 from our bookshop. Also available are guided meditation CDs and a wide variety of introductory and more comprehensive books.
